UPCOMING SHOWS:
Edinburgh Fringe! 3 shows down, 21 to go!
Hello, Sternal Journalists!
Ultra-quick one this week. I’ve made it to Edinburgh and am having a blast and a half. A lot of people have asked me if I have advice and if I’m having a nice time. The answers are SURE and YES!
Here is the advice:
There is about 10% of the time you think there will be.
It’s okay because all of the stuff you wind up doing is incredibly fun and you walk everywhere so you will be tired and fulfilled at the end of every day (so far!)
Here is a picture of the fun:
These are all friends Mike and I made going out the first couple nights, and they came and brought friends to our third show! It was a blast and heartwarming!
But much more importantly than all that, look at this fucking toilet:
The practicality! The design! The efficiency! It’s a whole bathroom in one structure. We’ve all been wasting our hand-washing water when it could have been filling the tank for our pee-and-poo-flushing-water!
Yes, I’m having a life-changingly fun experience but this toilet is all I’ll be thinking about for days.
Do we love it? Do we hate it? Sound off in the comments!
Recommendations (Fringe edition!)
Will You Still Need Me, Will You Still Feed Me, Glenn I’m Sixty Moore. Show. I went to this stand-up show by British comedian Glenn Moore because the poster said it was the best showcase of joke-writing at the Fringe and because I kept getting the damn melody of the title stuck in my head. That’s good marketing. It was a great show. If you’re not able to catch him, here’s a clip.
Staying Alive (feat. Drake & Lil Durk). Cover Art. I don’t like this new DJ Khaled song very much, but I love and need a t-shirt of the cover art.
Revisionist History Season 6. Podcast. I cranked through all 6 released episodes while packing for this trip last week. Malcom is back in all his nerdy, passionate glory.
That toilet. Toilet. Like, can I instill one of those in my home? Or does it need to be built like that to begin with? I have so many questions!
That’s it for today! Much love!
Julian
P.S. I spend anywhere between two and twelve hours a week on the Sternal Journal. If you enjoy receiving it (and are RICH) consider becoming a paying subscriber. For just a few bucks a month, you can provide me with a bit more time to come up with fun topics, poems, and interviews; and you with probably fewer typos.
You can get them on amazon! Or at least certain versions. I've looked at them during my "I want to live in a tiny home or van" research bouts. They seem great!
