Howdy Sternal Journalists!
An early, a quicky, and a break in format(ting) as I’m reporting from my phone on the road. Read time is like maybe two minutes.
But also last week’s entry was described by at least one reader as “astoundingly long” so hopefully you’ve still got a bit of reading to do there.
Anyway two things to report:
I have a show Tuesday 5/17 at Mama Shelter. Come on out, it’ll be fun. Ticket info to come.
I’m going to Edinburgh Fringe Fest! For the month of August, the incredibly talented Mike Glazer and the not-too-untalented-if-I-do-say-so-myself me will be doing a ton of stand-up and (you know me) the occasional musical ditty in our show ABSOLUTE FRIENDSHIP!
Look at this insane flyer the also incredibly talented Tian Chen made for it:
So maybe consider coming out to Scotland to see it??? If not, just come to Mama Shelter. So much closer.
Alrighty, recommendations:

Riverside Motherfucker. Song. I was at a wedding this weekend and met someone from Riverside, California. I told them about how one time I was visiting the groom at University of Maryland and there was this song that come on at a bar called “Riverside Motherfucker” and a bunch of guys broke out into a coordinated dance of some sort, but that I had NEVER been able to find the song—that it was ungooglable. And then the bride said that she had actually told this Riverside person about the song because it was huge when she was in high school in Jakarta. And then we googled it, and it’s so googlable. Everyone roasted me for being bad at Google. So if there’s something you googled 13 years ago, maybe try it again. Google’s gotten better. But I’ll still never know why they were dancing.
Doctor Strange into the Multiverse of Madness. Movie. Just got out of this. A lot of fun scenes even if I didn’t totally get what was happening. But the theater attendant waiting for us to leave so he could sweep bowed as we left and said “I hope you have a FANTASTIC week.” It made the movie experience for me.
Come Home The Kids Miss You. Album. The new Jack Harlow album. It’s very Jack Harlowy if you like that sort of thing.
That’s all, Sternal Journalists!
Much love and I hope you have a FANTASTIC week.
